It's a further walk, but you can park in lot W6, walk eastward past the rugby field to the Sports Meadow Loop. Take the Sports Meadow Loop (left/north may be a bit shorter) to the junction with the North Park Cross Trail. Proceed east on North Park Cross Trail to the top of Kite Hill.

Park in or near the Warren G. Magnuson Park swim beach parking lot (Lot E4). To reach it enter the park eastbound on NE 65th St. from the Sandpoint Way NE/NE 65th St intersection. From there proceed straight eastward about a half mile to a stop sign then bear left (North) about 3/8 mile to reach the swim beach parking lot.
