Discovery Park - South Meadow restoration maintenance05/19/2026
Activities
Restoration isn't just removing invasive species and planting natives. There's a lot of follow up and tending that needs to occur. We will be touring a number of sites in the south meadow to assess maintenance, weeding and watering. We will likely be pulling and digging multiple blackberry resprouts. This is also a great way to get the full view of years of restoration.

What to Bring
WATER and work gloves (I'll have some loaners if you need to borrow). Please wear long pants and sturdy boots. Dress for the weather. We will have loppers, wheelbarrows, tillers and heavy-duty shovels to accomplish our task. We'll take a water break halfway through the event.
