Colman Park - Prideful Stewardship with Colman …06/14/2026

Activities

Have you relished in the goodness of Colman's shores? If so, it might be time to give her back some LOVE. Spend some of your Pride Month by stewarding Colman Parks' shoreline with your neighbors!!

Let's help Lake Washington have the healthy shoreline habitat it deserves by clearing out some non-native blackberry and make space to plant native berries and other native trees and shrubs this fall.

If your body has a hard time doing physical labor, I encourage you to still come and enjoy the park with us and maybe share with neighbors why stewarding Colman feels important to you.

I will do my very best to provide snacks, but it all depends on the economy and capacity.

It's possible the neighboring beach, Mount Baker, has bathrooms however, I'm uncertain if it is still closed from last years fire incident.

This event is for Queers and wholehearted allies that love Colman <3

Where to Park

Colman has a parking lot however, it gets very packed as beach goers roll in. Biking, car pooling, and public transport are very encouraged. There is a bus stop about an 8-minute walk from the beach.

Additional parking can be found on Lakeside Ave and near neighborhoods.
