Join us for a morning of tide pooling with Meros! Come learn about intertidal creatures and their environments, make friends and build community. At Meros the mission is to create access to the ocean for BIPOC through experiences that deepen our relationship with the sea and each other.
Animals you might meet:
Nudibranchs, sea stars, anemones, gunnels, sculpin, limpets, chitons, barnacles, kelp crabs, red rock crabs, dungeness crabs, porcelain crabs, octopuses
We will be walking along a sandy rocky beach. No steep slopes or stairs. Rocks may be slippery! Tread carefully.

What to Bring
- Rainboots, waders or waterproof shoes. Please note, your feet WILL get wet in this environment, if you do not have waterproof shoes, consider bringing an extra pair of dry socks and/or shoes to change into after the event
- Flashlight (Optional, helpful to see creatures better under the pier)
- Walking/hiking sticks (Optional)
