Green Lake Park - Seattle Forest Week @ …11/10/2026
Activities
Seattle Forest Week is November 7th - 15th!
Plant a forest and grow community! This is the time of year that we get together with our neighbors and kick off tree planting season. From creating wildlife habitat, to combating climate change, and providing a place for residents to recreate: having a hand in Seattle Forest Week is one of the best ways to give back to your neighbors, parks, and your local forest.
Join the fun and be one of hundreds of volunteers across the city planting native trees, shrubs, and groundcovers that will become the future forest of Seattle. All community members are welcome, and no experience is necessary. These events are family friendly and open to all ages.

What to Bring
Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes (rubber boots, hiking shoes or boots), long sleeves, long pants, warm layers and rain jacket. We'll have tools and gloves for you to use, or feel to bring your favorite pair of gloves. Help reduce waste by bringing your own water bottle!
Where to Meet
We will meet at the Southeast corner of the Aqua Theater bleachers. Look for Forest Stewards in our orange vests. From there, we will walk together to the project site, which is about a 7-minute walk to the east following the blacktop path around the lake counter clockwise (i.e. if you are facing the lake, it's to the right of the Aqua Theater bleachers and small craft center/rowing center).
