Seward Park - Seattle Forest Week at …11/07/2026
Activities
Seattle Forest Week is November 7th - 15th! This is the time of year that we get together with our neighbors to kick off planting season. All community members are welcome and no experience is necessary. These events are family friendly and open to all ages.
Help bring back one of the most culturally and ecologically significant landscapes in our region. Camas prairie and Garry oak habitat once shaped this land and sustained Coast Salish communities for millennia, today, less than 3% of it remains in the Puget Sound lowlands. Planting camas and oak here is a small but meaningful act of restoring what was nearly lost. Alongside this, a youth crew will continue forest restoration work, planting the next generation of stewards right alongside the next generation of trees.
Funding for this project provided by the USDA Forest Service, Urban and Community Forestry Program in partnership with State of Washington Department of Natural Resources, Urban and Community Forestry Program.
