Cheasty Greenspace: Mt View - Stewardship Squad10/26/2022

Activities

Stewardship Squad has a decade-long legacy of restoring this important urban greenspace to a rich quality native forest accessible to all Seattlites. It's your turn to be part of this amazing project!

All ages OK

7 out of 22 participants registered.

What to Bring

Close-toed shoes and clothes that can get wet, muddy, dirty, and maybe even torn by blackberry brambles. Whatever food you need to keep going- we'll take a lunch break in middle of the event. Plenty of water.

Where to Meet

We'll meet on the steps at the street end of South Alaska Place. The nearest house address to plug into your navigation device is 2802 South Alaska Place.

Where to Park

You can avoid parking by riding the lightrail and getting off at the Columbia City stop, or the 50 or 108 bus and getting off at MLK and South Alaska Street, then walking uphill to South Alaska Place.

The street parking near the steps is zoned for 2 hours, so either plan to move your car, risk a ticket, or just park in the neighborhood at the top of the trail system. There is a trailhead at the L of South Angeline Street and 27th Avenue South. (The nearest address, if you want to plug it into your navigator, is 2629 S. Angeline Street.) Follow the trail down, past the first junction, down the steps, and go right when you pass the wooden benches. Take the next right down toward the street. We'll meet on the steps across the street.
