The event is good for all ages, feel free to bring the family! Herrings House Park is located on the ancestral land of the Duwamish Tribe and was once a thriving village, known in Lushootseed as Tul a’lt. This site fosters critical estuarine habitat where 5 species of juvenile salmon travel from streams to rest, feed, and adapt to salt water in early summer, before they continue their journey out to Elliot Bay. Blue herons, Caspian terns, Osprey and other important wildlife nest and forage near here and can be seen year-round. more
